Intro

We support three GigaBlue models. The UHD quad 4K, UE 4K and the Trio 4K.
The procedure flashing a new image is with all supported hardware the same.

How to flash a GigaBlue receiver...

Format your USB stick with an MBR partition table and a FAT32 file system.

  1. Download the USB image of your choice on https://openpli.org/download/gigablue/
  2. Unpack the USB image file on your PC and copy the full unpacked content to the root directory of your USB stick.
  3. Switch your GigaBlue receiver off (Power off, not stand-by!).
  4. Place the USB stick in one of the available USB inputs. Preferable an USB 2.0 input at the back of the box.
  5. Switch the receiver on. If an image is recognized push Power (left front side on the box) within 10 seconds. This is mentioned on the TV screen.
  6. Now the flashing-process is started. The progress is shown at the display of the box.
  7. Wait until update is loaded. The box restarts as a completely fresh box with the latest software.
  8. Depending whether you have a backup file on the same stick the backup will be restored (if you like) during booting.
